Pinnacles
The Pinnacles are limestone formations within Nambung National Park, near the town of Cervantes, Western Australia. The formations range from heights of short stumps to pillars reaching 3 metres high, the Pinnacles are ancient formations formed when the landscape was underwater. The best season to visit the Pinnacles is in the months of August to October.
Rottnest Island
Rottnest Island is located near the city of Perth, off the coast of Western Australia. It is a low lying island formed on a base of aeolianite limestone and is a protected nature reserve. Rottnest Island has a Mediterranean climate with warm dry summers and mild wet winters. Diving is a popular activity at Rottnest. The Rottnest Channel Swim is a long-distance swimming event from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island. It is held each February. Ferries are the common mode of transport.

The Sydney Opera House includes several performance venues. Taronga Zoo

The area is part of the Adelaide Geosyncline and host the Flinders Ranges National Park. The pound is popular for bush walking.
